Javier León Pérez was born in Seville in 1977, currently residing between Seville and Osnabrück (Germany).
His training began at the School of Arts and Crafts in Seville, obtaining a graduate degree in 2001 and specializing in ceramics and sculpture. In 2007 he graduated from the University of Fine Arts of Seville and in 2011 he finished his postgraduate studies at the Complutense University of Madrid, with the Master Art Creation and Research, obtaining the highest grade with the research work Return to the Silence, focused on in the pictorial artistic creation processes where the repetition of plastic elements are analogous to meditative rituals.
He received numerous awards in Spain and his work on Japanese paper was recognized at the Biennale of Contemporary Art at the Rijswijk Museum in the Netherlands and at the Lalín Biennale of Contemporary Art in Spain.
Javier has had multiple exhibitions throughout Europe, his first individual exhibition outside of Spain was in Lisbon in 2009, his first individual exhibition in Hong Kong in 2014 and in 2019 in Brussels. He has participated in art fairs in Spain, France, Portugal, the Netherlands, Germany, the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, Korea, Indonesia, Istanbul, Taiwan and Miami. His works have been acquired by important Spanish collections, including Fundación La Caixa, Valentín de Madariaga (Seville) and the DEARTE Collection, also international such as the Galila Barzilai POAC Foundation (Brussels), the Boghossian Foundation (Brussels), and by prominent collectors such as the VICTOR HARTONO Collection (Indonesia)
Also from Hong Kong, Taiwan, Indonesia, Philippines and Korea.
Currently he has begun to work with the Laura Rathe American gallery based in Houston, Dallas (USA) and with the A. M. Bjiere gallery in New York.

Javier León Pérez nació en Sevilla en 1977 y actualmente reside entre Sevilla y Osnabrück (Alemania).
Inició su formación en la Escuela de Artes y Oficios de Sevilla, donde se graduó en 2001 especializándose en cerámica y escultura. En 2007 se licenció en Bellas Artes por la Universidad de Sevilla y en 2011 finalizó sus estudios de posgrado en la Universidad Complutense de Madrid, obteniendo el Máster en Creación e Investigación Artística con la máxima calificación gracias al trabajo de investigación «Regreso al Silencio», centrado en los procesos de creación artística pictórica donde la repetición de elementos plásticos se asemeja a rituales meditativos.
Ha recibido numerosos premios en España y su obra sobre papel japonés fue reconocida en la Bienal de Arte Contemporáneo del Museo Rijswijk (Países Bajos) y en la Bienal de Arte Contemporáneo de Lalín (España).
Javier ha realizado numerosas exposiciones individuales por toda Europa. Su primera exposición individual fuera de España tuvo lugar en Lisboa en 2009, seguida de su primera exposición individual en Hong Kong en 2014 y en Bruselas en 2019. Ha participado en ferias de arte en España, Francia, Portugal, Países Bajos, Alemania, Reino Unido, Hong Kong, Corea, Indonesia, Estambul, Taiwán y Miami. Sus obras forman parte de importantes colecciones españolas, como la Fundación La Caixa, Valentín de Madariaga (Sevilla) y la Colección DEARTE, así como de colecciones internacionales como la Fundación Galila Barzilai POAC (Bruselas) y la Fundación Boghossian (Bruselas), y de destacados coleccionistas como la Colección VICTOR HARTONO (Indonesia).
También ha expuesto en Hong Kong, Taiwán, Indonesia, Filipinas y Corea.
Actualmente colabora con la galería Laura Rathe American, con sede en Houston y Dallas (EE. UU.), y con la galería A. M. Bjiere en Nueva York.
