bolsa del MOMA | MOMA bag
My interest in art dates back to a young age. My father was a draftsman, so I grew up in that environment and developed the same passion for it. I was passionate about the arts in their entirety; I spent hours crafting with wood, painting and restoring furniture, listening to music, designing my own clothes, and so on. Fashion always caught my attention. I even worked as an interior designer in the family home decor store.
When I was 12, I began studying music at the “Conservatorio Superior” in Seville, eventually dedicating myself professionally to playing guitar for approximately 15 years, always alternating this with other types of work.
My artistic interests didn’t cease and they continued to grow. I continued drawing, but I couldn't find a way to express all the emotional burden that was weighing on me.
In 2018, I began studying art history and delving deeper into the great masters. I think that's when my life began to make sense. I finally found a way to unleash and express my full emotional expression. Along with my studies, I also had private tutors who taught me different techniques and showed me new perspectives.
During the pandemic I realized I had to change my life, completely upend it, and almost without thinking about it, I sold everything and found a studio, where I now live and work.
I started with acrylics and then continued with oils, as well as different materials that I gradually incorporated into my works, such as pastels and charcoal. All of this gave my compositions more emotional charge. I like to define my style as "figurative," with constant references to art history.
